How Monica Built Strength, Confidence, and Consistency at CrossFit Dwell

Every January, many of us promise ourselves that this will be the year we get stronger, fitter, and healthier. Monica joined CrossFit Dwell in January 2025 as a personal training client. She wanted to add focused strength training to her routine so she could build muscle, reduce body fat, and improve her overall strength. Those goals are common for women between 35 and 60, especially those who want to protect their muscle mass, keep their bones strong, and feel confident in their bodies. What makes Monica different is that she took action right away, and she stayed consistent.

Looking Forward

Monica has big goals ahead. She plans to continue increasing her strength, flexibility, and endurance, and she’s even considering stepping into group CrossFit classes someday. That’s actually a common path: personal training builds confidence, and small wins add up. Before you know it, group classes feel exciting instead of intimidating.

On top of her personal training sessions, she also participated in our Pure PUMP Specialty Course, focused on bodybuilding-style strength work and sculpting muscle in a safe, coach-led environment. We loved seeing her take her training to the next level.

Her Advice for Anyone Considering Starting

When we asked what she would tell her past self or someone thinking about joining, she said:

“Prioritize and make time for fitness even when it seems impossible to squeeze anything else into your schedule.”
